Since the beginning, Arkells have never wavered in their mission to be the house band that soundtracks the greatest nights of your life and provides emotional support in your darkest hours. And that communal spirit is reflected in an ever-evolving sound that hits all the perennial pleasure points—fusing the anthemic power of alt-rock, the pulpit-shaking passion of vintage soul, the off-the-cuff intimacy of singer-songwriter music, the urbane edge of 21st-century indie, and the futurist aesthetics of modern R&B.

Thanks to that eclectic ethos, Arkells have continued to evolve, while making everyone feel right at home. As one of the most heavily rotated acts on radio, and all-time record holders of the JUNO Award for “Group of the Year,” Arkells

Whether they’re rocking stadiums,
making a beeline for the discotheque,
or gathering around the campfire,

the implicit message of Arkells is always the same:
everyone is welcome here.

Arkells

have extended their reach beyond borders by infiltrating all corners of pop culture; from global sports telecasts and top-tier video games to the stages of Coachella and Bonnaroo.

But the band’s longevity is ultimately a function of their commitment to never coasting on past glories and to always live completely in the moment. Even through their impressive history together, Arkells still approach every gig as an opportunity to prove themselves to the unconverted; as they’re fond of saying, each time they take the stage, “we understand the assignment.” The first rule of rock ‘n’ roll is to play every show like it’s your last—but as Arkells prove night after night, it’s just as important to hold onto the unbridled energy and enthusiasm of your first.

Julian Taylor’s JUNO Award-nominated album Pathways
further cemented his reputation as one of Canada’s
most compelling and emotionally resonant songwriters.

Co-produced with Colin Linden, the record explored themes of identity, healing, and resilience, adding another chapter to a career that spans alt-rock beginnings with Staggered Crossing, the genre-blurring Julian Taylor Band, and an acclaimed solo catalogue.

Over the years, Taylor has earned Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, multiple JUNO Award nominations, and a Polaris Music Prize nomination. Blending folk, roots, soul, rock, country, and blues, his music has been described as timeless and deeply human, shaped as much by collaboration as by lived experience. “I’ve become a better musician because of the musicians I’ve been lucky enough to play with,” Taylor reflects. “Sharing songs and microphones with people like Jim Cuddy and Jim James has been an honour.”

lights

She’s unabashedly honest and unapologetically confident. Weaving in and out of alternative, indie, and dance, she makes manic pop irreverent of boundaries, yet reverent of truth.

With streams in the hundreds of millions and widespread critical acclaim, she has sold out tours globally, made headlines from Coachella to Comic-Con, and collaborated with Travis Barker, deadmau5, Kaskade, Illenium, Steve Aoki, and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park.

Lights is many things all at once:
singer, songwriter, producer,
multi-instrumentalist,
comic book author, DJ, artist.

Their second release, You Can Call Me Al, a cover of the joyful Paul Simon classic, has gained real traction through fans of all ages, with audiences growing rapidly in the US and Europe, among other places

With over 850 songs in their rotation (and counting), the band sees Dwayne’s World as a long-term project. “We’ve only scratched the surface,” they say. “There are so many great songs out there, and we want to celebrate as many as we can.”

currently pursuing music studies at Concordia University.

A self-described artist for the “yearners,” her music merges the emotional honesty of indie-folk with dreamy indie pop textures, creating songs that feel intimate, vulnerable, and deeply lived-in.

After a defining 2025 that earned her two Spotify Editorial placements, Sirius XM North Americana Spin, victory in the Overture With The Arts songwriting competition, and praise from outlets including EARMILK, The Spill Magazine, Music is to Blame, and IGGY Magazine, Libby has quickly emerged as one of Canada’s most compelling young indie voices.

As momentum continues to build through campus radio support, critical acclaim, and growing international attention, Libby Ember remains an artist defined by emotional precision, introspection, and the quiet power of vulnerability.

The Dirty Nil has always brought
a bit of flash and colour to rock ‘n’ roll.

Whether it’s the bejeweled stars and lightning bolts emblazoned on frontman Luke Bentham’s stage outfits or the multi-dimensional, psychedelic artwork splashed across album covers, the Hamilton, Ontario-based band likes to add a little flair. But on their fifth album, The Lash, the Nil stripped it all back.

No more flash.
No more colour.
The slate was wiped.
Back to basics.
